Laundry Days

From time to time I get really fed up when trying to do my laundry in this apartment complex. Today is one of those days. The main problem is that I know a lot of the people in the complex so I feel really bad being upset with them for their laundry habits. Today for instance, as soon as I woke up (9 am, which is technically when you're allowed to start doing laundry) I went to the laundry room on our floor to do our whites. But, it was taken, so I went to the second floor--it was taken too. Went to the first floor--free, nice! So I put my laundry in, start it up and go back up to my apartment to wait the 35 minutes for the cycle to end. I go back downstairs and what do I find? One of my neighbors stuffing my dryer full of their wet whites and my cycle was definitely over. So now I have to wait for her clothes to dry (45 minutes) before I can put my wet clothes in the dryer...and I can't start a new load of laundry because there's nowhere to put my wet clothes while I have to wait. Plus, I saw a huge comforter going in the dryer, so I really think it's going to take more than one cycle with everything she crammed in there. But...assuming I can get my clothes into the dryer next and no one else steals it, I just added 45 minutes to my laundry time, (if not an hour and a half) and my clothes are just sitting in the washing machine not getting any cleaner. On my way back to my apartment I checked the other floors and saw the same neighbor in the second floor laundry and the third floor was still busy. So frustrating. I have things to do today people...I can't just wait around for you to finish using my dryer! One day I am going to have my own washer and dryer and it's going to be great! Until then I'll try not to be rude to any of my neighbors.
I may also be just a tad bit grouchy today because I had a real hard time sleeping last night. I woke up around 2 am with baby kicking me repeatedly and it started making my stomach upset and I couldn't fall back asleep. I finally got up and tried walking around the apartment to try to make him calm down, but it didn't seem to do anything. I was a little worried he was trying to escape and we were going to have a baby last night! Fortunately, he stayed inside and calmed down a little by 5 am. So I went back to sleep in time for Tyler to get up for work. I tried to sleep in but our next door neighbors are moving out and the movers showed up and started hauling boxes around 8, so I didn't really get much sleep. My head hurts from the lack of sleep, and my stomach's still feeling weird and baby's bouncing around like I gave him a spoonful of sugar. Maybe he knows Grandma Folkman is coming today and he's excited? Hopefully that's all it is. I seriously feel like he's jumping straight up and down and he's just going to pop right out. It's the strangest feeling.
Well, hopefully baby doesn't decide to pop out today and hopefully I don't snap at any of my neighbors over something as inconsequential as laundry. Good luck to the rest of you! :)
